The Disc Sander sands long edges, end sections, radii and miters. Used on soft and hard woods, non-ferrous metals, steel, plastic (plexiglass and fiberglass), cork and rubber. A simple chart indicates the recommended speeds for different materials. Sturdy construction: The main body is made of ribbed die-cast aluminum (not steel tube or sheet metal construction). The table is also die-cast aluminum with a machined surface and tilts 15 degrees inwards and 45 degress outwards. (A scale facilitates accurate adjustment). Comes standard with a table miter gauge supplied. Machined backing disc is driven by a twin ball bearing spindle. Self-adhesive sanding disc fix firmly and can be replaced quickly.
